As women age, have children or breastfeed, they may notice their breasts sag and droop. Other women may develop sagging breasts after significant weight loss. Whatever the reason, sagging breasts can be frustrating and lead to a loss of self-esteem. That’s why many want a breast lift as well as breast augmentation.
But there are many ways you can lift the breasts without a traditional breast lift. While breast lift surgery is a good choice for many people, not everyone wants significant surgery and the extended recovery that comes with it.
Also, a breast lift means you will have significant scars on the breasts that take up to a year to fade. And no matter how skilled your surgeon is, you will have faint scars left on the breasts.
Non-surgical breast lifts are getting more popular because there are fewer serious risks, such as bleeding, infection, and scarring. Many patients are concerned with these issues and want to try a procedure with fewer risks.
Of course, a non-surgical procedure won’t offer the big lift of surgery, but it still can be worth exploring if you want less dramatic results.
Below are several non-surgical breast lift options to consider when talking to your plastic surgeon. Which will work for you depends on your aesthetic goals and anatomy.
Laser treatments are a growing alternative to the traditional breast lift. The procedure involves using high-power lasers to eliminate dead skin cells. Laser treatments are usually used to remove wrinkles, age spots, and scars.
Boosting collagen production also can enhance skin elasticity in the breasts slightly. However, note that any lifting effect will be temporary and repeated every month or two. Patients also need several treatments for significant results.
Also, remember that ligaments in the breast tissue aren’t made like those in the face. So, patients may not see the same results in the breasts as in facial skin.
A vampire breast lift is another anti-aging procedure that uses PRP or platelet-rich plasma from your blood. The goal of the procedure is to provide a slight breast lift, somewhat like the effects of wearing a push-up bra.
A vampire breast lift won’t give you a big breast lift, but it can slightly lift the breasts and boost blood circulation.
Cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists do this procedure, and you can see the results a few months after the procedure.
Botox effectively reduces wrinkles and lines in the face by freezing the tiny muscles under the skin. It’s popular for facial procedures because it can make the face look more youthful without surgery.
Injecting Botox into the breasts can offer a slight breast lift by freezing the chest muscle under the breast tissue. However, any lift is minor and only lasts three or four months. You will need repeat procedures for consistent results.
This is another popular way to produce collagen in the skin. It involves using radio waves to tighten the breast skin.
The surgeon will use a Thermacool device that sends radio waves into the deep skin layer during your procedures. This procedure can lead to tighter skin almost immediately.
Note that this treatment must be repeated often to be effective. Also, it’s only effective if you have mild sagging.
This procedure can move the skin around the breasts slightly upward. It’s also called a breast feather lift and uses tiny barbed threads threaded through the breast skin.
The surgeon inserts Aptos threads with a hypodermic needle, and the threads are sewn together and pulled up.
Even though the procedure uses threads under the skin, it’s still considered a non-surgical breast lift. Plus, results can last two years.
It also doesn’t give you scars, and the threads will disappear independently.
Dermal fillers are sometimes injected into the face to provide more volume and fill in lines and wrinkles.
For example, your surgeon may inject hyaluronic acid to fill in hollow cheeks, making you look younger.
Dermal fillers also can be used to lift and plump the breasts temporarily slightly. Dermal filler injections may last between six months and a year, so you will need touch-up procedures to maintain your results.
Some people may discount it, but you also can lift the breasts by doing more chest exercises. Increasing the size and flexibility of the pectoral muscles can provide a slight lift to the breasts.
Some of the best exercises for the breasts are push-ups and bench presses. Also, consider swimming every week to boost the strength of the chest muscles.
It’s also essential to eat a well-balanced diet, so you have the energy you have for your chest exercises. Eat plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean protein, so you have a lot of energy.
Renuvion J-Plasma is a new skin tightening procedure that uses radiofrequency-heated gas to contract the collagen, proteins, and fibrous tissue under the skin. This causes a slight tightening and lifting of the breasts.
This procedure is best for women with normal body weight and considerable skin elasticity. If you want a significant lift, you will need to talk to your surgeon about a traditional breast lift.
Women who want a breast lift can try many non-surgical procedures to see if they get the results they want. While they don’t provide the results of a traditional breast lift, a non-surgical breast lift may do the job, and you don’t need surgery.
